Goliath beetles go through metamorphosis. First, females lay almost 100 eggs and die shortly after. That’s a lot of eggs for any animal. Next, the eggs hatch after 14 days and babies (Grubs) are born eyeless and wingless. They reach complete size in about 4 months. Then, they dig deep in the ground for metamorphosis. It happens in a cocoon like thing called cells. After, the adults hibernates in the ground. Finally, they come out in the wet season and belong to the scarab family. Those are cool facts about the Goliath beetle.
